Measure once. Choose with confidence.

A drawer organiser is only useful if the drawer still opens, closes and holds what you need. Start with the inside measurements, not the outside of the furniture.

1. Empty the drawer and measure inside

Measure the internal width from side to side and the depth from front to back. Measure at the narrowest points: runners, screw heads and curved corners can reduce the usable space. Write down the units so that centimetres and millimetres do not get mixed up.

2. Check the usable height

A tall insert may fit inside an open drawer but catch on the frame when you close it. Check the space available as the drawer moves. The contents matter too: an upright bottle or tool can sit higher than the organiser itself.

3. Sort before you choose

Group the things you actually keep in the drawer. Long utensils, small cables and stationery need different compartments. Sketch a layout on paper using the confirmed outside dimensions of the organiser. Leave room for handles or other protruding parts.

4. Read adjustable ranges carefully

For a divider, compare both its minimum and maximum length with your drawer. Check how it is held in place and whether that method suits the surface. “Adjustable” alone does not confirm a fit.

5. Check the full pack

A photo may show a complete arrangement even when the listing is for one piece. Confirm the quantity, shapes and sizes included. Check care instructions and any restriction on use in damp areas.

Before buying

• Inside width, depth and clear height recorded.
• External product dimensions and adjustable range compared.
• Drawer can close with the intended contents.
• Pack quantity, fixing method and care understood.
